Acts 16:30 "What must I do to be saved?"

Its the most important question you will ever ask yourself and its not even that difficult to attain salvation.

You must first understand that:

  • You are a sinner.  Just as we were all sinners. (Romans 3:23)

  • We will be judged for those sins (2 Corinthians 5:10)

  • The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and after comes the judgment (Hebrews 9:27)

But God loved us so much that he made a way for us through the death of his only son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus took on all our sins and paid the price for them (death) so that we wouldnt have to.  But we have to claim that sacrifice as our own.  How do we do that?

How to be saved?

  • Believe that Jesus Christ (Yeshua haMoshiach) is the Son of God, died for your sins and rose from the dead on the third day.

  • Repent of our sins.

  • Confess our faith in Jesus before others.

  • Be baptized (as the outward sign of an inner change) in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • Remain faithful to the Lord the rest of our life.

Sample Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of a savior.  Forgive me sins.   I ask you to come into my heart and make me a new creation in you. Lord, help me to remain faithful to you. Guide and teach me in your ways and protect me from Satans snares

Amen

The Roman Road

Know that you are a sinner

Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

God loved us and made a way for us even when while we were sinners

Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

The Gift has been offered to us

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

How do I accept Gods free gift?

Romans 10:9-10 "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. "

Assurance of your Salvation

Romans 10:13 "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
